Or is it the other way around?  For those of you that want to hear the news first when it comes to all things MOMAR, then you will want to set up a Twitter account. What is Twitter you ask?

Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows its users to send and read other users’ updates (otherwise known as tweets), which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length.

We’ll be using this social media tool heavily during the MOMAR weekends where we can post things like “Gary is lost; he sure misses Todd right now” or “Doug Doyle just flipped his kayak for the ninth time!”   Your fans at home can follow the race or even the ones that are there can get updates (twitter can send via text to your phone) from deep inside the course.  Maybe we’ll even set up a twitter station at a checkpoint! How cool is that?

Twitter accounts are free and easy to setup. Click here to follow the MOMAR on Twitter.

Umm, currently accepting resumes from single men who know how to use a compass and suffer lots while on the move. Must be able to put up with serious b.o., moodiness, and an excessive amount of hugging from me…and kissing from my dog, should we win…apply within!

Don’t forget that you must also enjoy holding hands under inflatable arches…

That’s all I need – to have my lack of racing prowess broadcast in a Tweets format ;-)
