May 4/07 - MOMEC along with the Pogue Sports and the Vancouver Canoe Club has launched a brand new paddling series. The Mountain Equipment Co-op Big Chop Summer Paddle Series starts on May 17th from Vanier Park in Vancouver, BC. Check it out at www.bigchop.ca. December 16/06 - Stay on top of the race scene and download the 2007 Race Calendar featuring all MOMEC events such as the MOMAR, GutBuster and Edge to Edge Marathon! December 15/06 - MOMEC has been hired as the Course Designer for the ALS Adventure Challenge's new race on Vancouver Island. More details will be announced soon. December 15/06 - MOMEC has been hired to design and managed the first two days of the inaugural BC Bike Race from Victoria to Whistler. December 1/06 - Registration for the GutBuster Trail Running Series, the Mind Over Mountain Adventure Racing Series and the Edge to Edge Marathon is now open. Click on the logo to the left for more information on each event. October 3/06 - The 25th Annual Richmond Flatlands 10km is set for Sunday, October 15th. MOMEC was contracted to design the brand new course in Steveston that now includes a run through scenic rural farmland and along the Fraser River. It will feel like you're running in Richmond 25 years ago before all the development. October 3/06 - The 4th Annual Richmond PlayDay is a go for 2007 and MOMEC is proud to help organize this great festival once again. PlayDay is a free family fun event geared for kids aged 2-12. The 2007 date is TBA. October 1/06 - The Mind Over Mountain Adventure Racing Series has just wrapped up and we are already planning for 2007. We expect to have the schedule finalized by November and registration will open shortly thereafter. Sept 29/06 - Professional Adventure athlete, Dave Norona, is off to Austrailia for the Gunbarrel Challenge. Follow his adventure on his blog davenorona.blogspot.com. Sept 15//06 - The 8th Annual Edge to Edge Marathon, Half Marathon, and Relay returns on Sunday, June 10th, 2007. The E2E runs from Tofino to Ucluelet. This is detination running at its best. April 11/06 - The new website for Navigate the Streets is now online! The date for this exciting urban challenge is Sunday, September 17th, 2006. Regisration is open! Sign up today as spots are limited and we expect to sell out quick. [+] April 06//06 - This year's Richmond PlayDay is on Saturday, July 29th at the South Arm Community Centre. PlayDay features eight activity filled PlayZones, mainstage entertainment, food vendors, and concessions. Over 10,000 people attend every year!
